About

GerdQuest started as a personal experiment: I wanted to learn what it actually takes to collaborate with AI to build something real. Rather than just chatting with it, I used Claude as a pair programmer — writing tests, designing systems, debugging, and shipping features — to see how far AI-assisted development could go on a project I genuinely cared about.

The game itself is a browser-based idle RPG with cloud saves, a renown system, and a full dungeon loop — built entirely through that process. It's been a crash course in knowing what to ask, when to push back, and how to stay in the driver's seat while letting AI handle the heavy lifting.
