Fort Prefect

Overview​

The second of the three Outpost Forts, Fort Prefect serves a dual role: watchtower on the southern border and dungeon for captured interlopers from the Barrens. It sits between Fort Pratchett to the west and Fort Ohmu to the east, part of the chain of outposts that protects the Greenwold from monster incursions out of the Barrens.

  • Road Connection: Part of the road running east from Slew through all three forts.

Notable Figures​

  • Marshall Jerrus Toley — Commander. Still bears the scars of the Sorcerer's Rebellion — an uprising of unlicensed mages against the Alabaster Academy. His stubborn distrust of arcane magic and spellcasters has strained relations with the Academy and with magic-users throughout the region. He regards any magic-user as a potential agent or spy.

Recent Developments​

A series of unexplained killings within the soldiers' ranks has prompted Marshall Toley to launch an investigation. Those within the fort regard it as more of an inquisition, given Toley's well-known suspicion of anything magical.
